Who owns it

Bridgestone Americas, through its retail arm Bridgestone Retail Operations, LLC (BSRO), which runs the chain along with Tires Plus, Hibdon Tire Plus and Wheel Works. The lineage is older than the store format: the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company was founded on August 3, 1900 by Harvey S. Firestone in Akron, Ohio, and the first Firestone Tire and Service Center opened in 1926 and was later renamed Firestone Complete Auto Care. Bridgestone acquired Firestone in 1988 and the head office moved to Nashville in 1992, so the stores have been Japanese-owned for more than 35 years.

What you can buy there

The lineup is built around the parent company's own tires: Bridgestone lines (Turanza, Alenza, Potenza, Dueler, Ecopia, Blizzak, WeatherPeak, DriveGuard) and Firestone lines (Destination, Firehawk, WeatherGrip, All Season, Transforce), plus the SureDrive value brand that Bridgestone sells only through its own stores. Other makes can be ordered at the counter but are not the focus, so the choice is far narrower than at an online tire marketplace. Stores sell new tires only, not used tires, and wheels are a minor sideline next to the service business.

Shipping

There is no home delivery. Tires bought on firestonecompleteautocare.com are ordered against an installation appointment at a specific store and the site offers no ship-to-your-door option at all, so shipping cost and transit days do not apply. Stock either sits in the store or is pulled from Bridgestone's own distribution network for the appointment date, which is usually a day or two out.

Installation

Every location is a company-owned service center with its own bays and technicians, so there is no third-party installer network to coordinate. Firestone does not publish a flat per-tire installation charge; mounting, balancing, new valve stems and old-tire disposal are quoted together with the tires at the counter, and TPMS work is billed separately. Road Hazard Protection is sold as a paid add-on rather than included, and covers repair or replacement with free mounting and balancing on the repaired or replaced tire, with the tire replaceable once and repairable twice and coverage ending at 2/32 inch of tread.

Returns and warranty

The 90-Day Buy & Try Guarantee lets a customer who is not satisfied with eligible Bridgestone or Firestone brand tires return them to the store where they were bought within 90 days and take a credit toward a different set, paying or being refunded the price difference. It applies only to a full set of four or more bought together, and winter tires, run-flats, performance Potenza models and commercial truck sizes are excluded. Manufacturer mileage warranties (up to 80,000 miles on some models) and the optional road hazard plan are handled in-store, and service work carries a nationwide warranty honored at any BSRO location.

Prices sit above the online discounters, which is the single most common complaint: the store is paying for bays, staff and a nationwide warranty. Firestone leans on instant rebates instead of low shelf prices, with offers running from $60 off a set of Firestone All Season up to $200 in combined savings, and the Firestone credit card adds 5% off a first purchase plus six months of promotional financing. A Priced Right Guarantee and the Triple Promise (Fixed Right, Priced Right, Right on Time) are the stated answer to price objections, but they are a match-and-guarantee promise, not a discount.
